This Privacy Policy explains what information BG Gaming collects, why, and what your rights are.

1. What we collect

• Discord account info: your Discord user ID, username, avatar URL — obtained via OAuth when you sign in.
• EOS character ID: the Epic Online Services ID of your in-game character, so we can deliver perks to the correct character.
• In-game activity: character name, tribe membership, playtime, shop transactions — used to operate the server and FusionShop.
• Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a customer ID and subscription/charge references — we never see or store your card details.
• Session cookie: a single HTTP-only cookie keeps you signed in on our website. It contains a random session ID and no personal data.
• Server-side logs: timestamps, IP addresses, and user agents for security and abuse investigation. Retained for 90 days.

2. Why we use it

• Authenticate you on the website and in-game.
• Deliver paid and free perks to the correct in-game character.
• Send important account notifications via Discord DM (order confirmations, payment failures, subscription ends).
• Prevent cheating, spam, and abuse.
• Run our community rewards, raffles, and leaderboards.

3. Who we share with

• Stripe (payment processor) — card and billing data goes directly to Stripe; we receive only customer and payment references.
• Discord (authentication + messaging) — OAuth flow and DMs are delivered via Discord's platform.
• No data is sold or shared for advertising.

4. Cookies

We use a single functional session cookie. No analytics cookies, no third-party tracking.

5. Your rights

You can request deletion of your account data at any time by messaging us on Discord. Note that some records (payment audit trail, cheating investigations) may be retained as required by law or for fraud prevention for up to 6 years.

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have rights under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. The data controller is BG Gaming.

6. Data retention

• Account data: kept for as long as your account is active.
• Payment records: kept for 6 years for tax and accounting compliance.
• Moderation logs: kept for 2 years.
• Server-side access logs: 90 days.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in our Discord.
