ARK ASA 2026 Roadmap — Every Confirmed Release Date

ARK: Survival Ascended — full 2026-2027 release schedule
Here's every confirmed ARK: Survival Ascended release and DLC for 2026 and 2027, sorted by date. We update this article every time Studio Wildcard confirms a new date or moves an existing one — last refreshed 30 May 2026.
2026 release schedule
25 February 2026 — Astraeos Map Expansion (released)
The community-favourite Astraeos map landed on ASA in February. A massive open-world map with custom biomes, exclusive creatures, and the kind of scale that the Island and Scorched simply can't match. Already live on BG Gaming's cluster.
19 May 2026 — Araneo TLC (released, free)
Free TLC reworked the Araneo spider — web traversal, ambush drops, saddle web weapons. See our full Araneo TLC breakdown.
20 May 2026 — Fantastic Tames Season 1: Burrowbuck (released)
First creature in the paid Fantastic Tames Season 1 DLC ($9.99). The Burrowbuck is a horned hare-like utility mount with underground tunnel mechanics. See our Burrowbuck taming guide.
25 June 2026 — Genesis Ascended Part 1 + Tides of Fortune ⏰ 26 days
The biggest release of the year. Genesis Part 1 is free for all ASA owners — five rebuilt biomes, full ocean naval gameplay, the new Palaeoctopus creature. Tides of Fortune is the paired paid expansion adding pirate ships, the Tidepup, and a Karl Urban-voiced storyline. Full breakdown: Genesis Part 1 | Tides of Fortune.
July 2026 — ARK: Survival of the Fittest
The PvP arena mode returns to ASA. Standalone competitive mode, separate from the main PvE/PvP game.
Q3 2026 — Fantastic Tames Season 1: Cerberax
Second creature in Fantastic Tames Season 1. A three-headed elemental beast designed for coordinated multi-rider combat — each head delivers a different elemental attack, chainable into combo abilities. Included in the same Fantastic Tames Season 1 purchase.
September 2026 — ARK World Creator + Unreal Engine 5.7
A major tools update rather than gameplay content. Wildcard ships the ARK World Creator (player-facing tools for custom maps) and upgrades the engine to UE 5.7. Expect performance improvements + better mod support.
Q4 2026 — Fantastic Tames Season 1: Enigmasaur
Third and final creature in Fantastic Tames Season 1. A shape-shifting mimic that can copy nearby creatures' abilities — easily the most unique creature concept of the season. Included in the same Fantastic Tames Season 1 purchase.
December 2026 — ARK: Dragontopia
New paid map with dragon-themed mechanics. Limited details so far — Wildcard has confirmed the December window and the theme.
2027 schedule (currently confirmed)
ARK: Atlantis
Sea-themed expansion building on the naval foundations laid by Genesis Part 1 and Tides of Fortune. Date TBA.
Galaxy Wars + Genesis Part 2
Genesis Part 2 returns for ASA alongside a new Galaxy Wars storyline. Date TBA.
ARK: Legacy of Santiago
Final expansion in the announced 2027 lineup. Theme and date TBA.
Final TLC wave: Quetzal, Giga, Theri, Megalo
Continuing the TLC programme started with Araneo. Each rework is free for all ASA owners.
What about Crystal Isles, Lost Island and Fjordur?
These three maps have not been officially confirmed for ASA. Studio Wildcard has acknowledged community demand but has not committed to dates. They're prioritising Genesis-tier expansions and the announced 2027 lineup first.
How does this roadmap affect BG Gaming?
We add free maps and creatures to BG Gaming's cluster as soon as they're stable on the official build — usually within 48-72 hours of release. Paid DLC creatures (Fantastic Tames, Tidepup) are tamable on our cluster for any player who owns the DLC.
If you don't already play on our cluster:
- 9-map boosted PvE
- 5x Taming, 2.5x Harvest, 2x XP
- Crossplay PC / Xbox / PS5
- 50,000 free coins on signup
- No wipe, ever — your tames stay
